The Flight

It was a very long flight. In fact, this was my first international flight so I researched a lot of things about it on the Internet before I left Japan such as how much I could pack in my suitcase, what I couldn’t put in my baggage and the maps of the airports. That is why I thought I had prepared for my flight perfectly and I would arrive at my destination without any trouble.

At Narita International Airport in Japan, I had enough time to relax so I was shopping and drinking coffee after I went to the check-in desk. I lined up in a queue for the security check. I noticed that I had liquid which exceeded the specific amount such as toothpaste. I packed the liquids into a small plastic bag. Suddenly, one of my friends said she had three bottles of liquid! We let her go to the service counter at the airport and she asked the staff what she should do and then the staff packed her bottles into a cardboard box. We waited for her outside the passport control but she went through another gate. I tried to call her my phone but I could not get a cell phone signal in that area. The departure time was approaching. We gave up waiting for her and we ran to the customs in a hurry. Then our names were called by the announcer! My friends and I ran full speed from the customs to the gate. Finally, we managed to get on the plane without knowing that she had already got on it!

I learned that I should do everything with time to spare through this experience. I hope that the incident like this will not happen again.
