Last Friday, I and Jedo interviewed public people about risk taking in George Street. It was second time asking people who we do not know few questions, so we were not really nervous, and we could ask over 10 people.
We prepared few questions. The first question was that
why you would do something people consider as strange to your appearance. The choices
were “because you like it”, “you want to be attractive”, and “you think you
have a low self-esteem”. Interestingly all of people we asked chose the first
one. I guess this result means that people hardly consider others when they do
something strange to their appearance. The second question was “have you ever
sat on exam without studying?” I was surprised that most of people have tried exams
without preparation before it. Four of them answered the result was good, two
answered it was bad, and three answered it was lucky. The last question was “have
you ever been abroad alone?” Most of people answered yes, and it was great. No
one answered the second choice “I’d never do it again.” So it means traveling
abroad is a great experience for everyone.
To sum up, people sometimes do something a bit risky
to enjoy their life, such as changing the appearance, going abroad alone, and
doing some activities that are scary. I think people who do not study for exam
might do something fun instead of studying. Taking risks might be necessary for
us to enjoy our life.
I think that you made interesting questions in your survey and this made a success in the interviews.
